Saturday night Alana, Laura, Nirali, Zandi and Ellie all went out. We stopped at Ellie's apartment for a while. She lives in Via Ricasoli which is the same type of housing as Piazza D'Azeglio (off campus residence hall Type B) but the configuration of their apt was incredibly different. First of all their rooms were only one story tall so it was so much warmer. Also one of the rooms had a loft, and all the amenities were a lot more modern looking than ours. They also don't have a common room but instead have a medium sized kitchen, whereas our kitchen isnt so big and instead we have a massive common room. Afterwards we went out for a bit and ended up hanging out at a bar near the Duomo where of course everything was insanely overpriced. The first place that we went to, Shot Cafe, was the place that the woman we met at Chabad recommended. But it was weird because it appeared to be only Italians and there were like 5 women and 50 men. Of course it was Zandi and a 5 girls (Ellie's roommate, Caitlin, joined us) so all the guys were trying to pick us up. It was quite amusing and if any of us had self esteem problems, they left that bar feeling pretty good about themselves... The night was a lot of fun, aside from all the sleezy men. But it def was not the same as a night out with Matt... we miss you!!!
until next time!
